welcome to la fontaine, louisiana; pop. 736
so ya wanna live forever don't ya?La Fontaine, or The Fountain as it's known by many of it's residents is a small but lush town deep in the Louisina bayou. Residents are a tight knit crowd and if they're a bit nosey with their neighbors, well no one really holds a grudge. While not as densely populated with supernatural inhabitants as other parts of the state, they're there if you care to look. Vampires, werewolves, shifters, witches, and fairies all have a part in what makes La Fontaine the quirky little town that it is, even if they're not always welcomed by their human neighbors. Most keep their noses (or fangs to be more exact) clean and play by the new legal limitations that came with coming out of the coffin, but others, well ... let's just say you'd have to be pretty brave to go out alone after dark.

We intend to stay a small, active, and intimate community of dedicated writers so if you're looking for a large community this probably isn't the place for you. If however you're looking for a smaller, friendly, low key place to write you've come to the right place.

This group PSL takes place within the True Blood universe and as such vampires, werewolves, and other creatures are subject to that canon with no exceptions. That said if you would like to play a character who is a vampire or monster hunter that is perfectly acceptable so long as you realize that those kinds of activities are illegal so they wouldn't be able to broadcast their profession.
Characters are also to be original characters. Sorry, we're not looking for anyone to play Sookie, Eric, Bill, or any other True Blood canon characters.
Characters cannot be under the age of twenty-five and pbs must be within a five year age range from the character's age. Exceptions to this rule will be made on a case by case basis upon consulting with the mods (in other words we realize some celebs look older or younger depending on what movie they were in, genetics, etc). 'Original' pbs, suicide girls, independent actors and musicians, scene kids, and anyone else without a legitimate claim to fame will not be accepted as pbs.
This game will will involve adult themes of violence, drug use, explicit sexual content and god only knows what else. As such all writers must be over the age of eighteen. We don't have a fantastic way of screening this, so we're using the honor system here. IF WE FIND THAT YOU HAVE JOINED AND ARE UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN YOU WILL BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY!
Pregnancies must be nine months, divorces don't happen over night. VAMPIRES CANNOT HAVE CHILDREN! For the most part we're not going to hold your hands and tell you what you can and can't write, but don't kill your characters ok? Just don't. And for that matter don't kill anyone else's either without clearing it with both them and the mod.
Usernames can be either IC or OOC but please try and have them have something to do with either the community or your character if you decide to make an OOC name. Please don't add a thousand underscores or numbers. Ex. ~vamphunter = good. ~vamp_hunter = good ~vamp___hunter536 = bad bad bad.
Journals are to be kept friends only, and we recommend that you have a public friends only post for IC interactions and spam though it is not required.
AIM screen names are optional but are recommended for plotting purposes, and these can be OOC as well. If you do not have an AIM screen name you must have an OOC post in your journal for plotting.
You have three days to post your intro, and a week to post either an entry or a scene. Entries can be any length. After your first entry is posted, updates will be due every three weeks.
Scenes can be played either over AIM or in a thread and both are to be posted in the scene community, with an appropriate heading containing ratings and warnings. Scene activity is up to you. We ask that if you do participate in a scene to be active with it and not leave the other person hanging.
Activity checks will be done at the end of the month, anyone seen to be at four weeks without an update will be contacted and if we do not hear from you within three days you will be removed.
Character profiles do not have to be lengthy, but please have at least a few paragraphs posted somewhere to give us an idea of your character. How you choose to format this is up to you.
